With snap shot day right around the corner, what do enrollments look like across the region. Are there any big changes? Who might go up? Who might go down?

Man this place is dead.

Clarksville apparently has an enrollment in the 170's and so will be dropping down, or well, I suppose staying where they are while the rest of 1A rushes up to meet them in the new 2A.

What all does Clarksville have coming down the pipe? I know Grapeland has some extremely talented freshmen and sophomores on varsity this year to mix in with the senior class we have. If they fall into the same region again, this could be a regular meeting in Tyler...

As for other teams that could be on a bubble. I think Slocum will fall back to small school, or stay 1A is it will be known as. Interested to see where Westwood ends up at as well. Not sure if numbers are still falling or not there, but there is a mass exodus of students from Crockett. Many ending up in Grapeland and Lovelady...Grapeland really reaping the benefits on the basketball court...

Clarksville will be good for the next 4 years. This year's starters will be 6'7 (FR),6'6 (FR) ,6'5 (SR) ,6'4 (SR) and 5'10 (JR). With another 6'5 (JR) kid on the bench. One of the Freshmen (Gaffney) is currently ranked #20 in the nation by ESPN for the 2017 class.

I hope and pray Clarksville's old district gets moved back to region 3. Abilene's way too far away to go watch a regional. (Of course then I still have to hope the region 3 tournament never gets moved back to ... where was it, Nacogdoches? I miss the old days of 3A and Commerce.)

GAW....Excuse me while I get my jaw off the floor

Maybe I need to start a thread about how unfair it is that Clarksville will be 1A and need to opt up to 3A like AAA...just kidding

There should be a few good Grapeland/Clarksville games in the future. Not to mention teams like Tenaha, Big Sandy, and San Augustine that seem to reload with talent each and every year.
