Wow. I didn't know what to expect from San Augustine moving down to 1A and getting a late start but looks like they're a serious contender in the region. What is your reaction?

I had my reservations about San Augustine, but they seem to be erased now. Big big win early in the year for SA. Cayuga is down a pair of starters, but a win is a win, and that is a huge one for San Augustine.
Definitely going to find a way to make it to the Grapeland/San Augustine game next week in Grapeland...Should be a heck of a game with the first team to 100 winning...

Nice win for San Augustine this morning. Down by 6 at halftime and led by 6 or 8 at the end of the 3rd. Just absolutely got after it in the 3rd quarter. Pushed the lead up to double digits late and knocked down free throws to finish it off. Cayuga is going to be just fine and San Augustine should only get better as they continue to get in basketball shape. SA had 5 practices and 2 games coming into this tournament.

San Augustine went on to beat Central Heights tonight in the semi-finals. Another nice win for SA. Playing on tired legs they got after it and won it on the defensive end. Good to see SA be able to maintain their composure against a good team that tried and at times was successful at slowing the game down.
