Big win tonight for a young Martins Mill team who I hear starts freshmen and sophomores and only has a few upperclassmen on the roster.  I believe the game was at Martins Mill.  How surprised are yall about this score?  Very or not at all?

Very. MM has traditionally rich bball program but they are young and as I've stated Lapoynor is very good. You never know how the familiarity of a district opponent will play out. Huge win for MM

I saw them way back in November when they beat 4A Texas High.  They did look good and they are a good team.  As long as the season is, especially for basketball teams that start in November, teams are gonna go through highs and lows.  I know Lapoynor struggled in that EC tournament, although their only really bad loss was 4A Lumberton.  They beat 3A Hamshire Fannett which is a good win and nearly beat 2A ranked Hitchcock.  Martins Mill is always a tough place to play and Coach Moore does a good job there.  Look at what happened with Big Sandy, Catman.  They got beat by 30 by Mumford over the holidays and then come out and get a huge win at San Augustine.  When you're dealing with high school kids you never know what you're gonna get from game to game.
