Friday Feb 22

Kerens vs Rapaport - 6pm

Cayuga vs Mart - 8pm

I know Mart and Rapoport arent ranked, but I hear both games should be pretty good.  Could you see an upset from either game?  Thoughts?

Really interested in this double header. Gonna find out in a 4 hr stretch whether that district is a contender or pretender.

Cayuga no doubt has the toughest road to the regional tournament in Region 3, Mart is scary good!!! These 2 games at Buffalo Friday night are gonna in the top 2 "best games" in the whole region all classifications!!! Region 3 2A better watch out for Franklin also , they can flat out play!!

I think Tenaha has the tougher road but there isn't an easy one. With that being said. I think the East Texas teams win both of em in Buffalo

After what i saw in Tyler saturday and again monday by Cayuga, they are in trouble....inconsistent play on both ends of the court (especially rebounding) is gonna cost them a trip to regional tournament, much less Austin.....you get a feeling after watching them that they just dont have that "fire or hunger in their belly" to win, and i just dont get it.  Just being tall and having tons of talent dont equate to a win so they best wake up and fast,  or they will get embarrassed before they even make it to Tyler!

With all that being said, I am a fan of theirs and want Preston and Greg to get another ring but THERE IS NO SENSE OF URGENCY and I am not convinced some of the players care enough.

Normally I am not an advocate of this, but I think Cayuga is one of those teams that can just turn it on. There are only a handful of teams that can pull it off and Cayuga is one of them.
The problem is, they are catching one of the toughest Area matchups in the state. Mart will be a tough out, so I hope they haven't waited to long to fire up the engines.

I agree to a point with what roundballfreak is saying , but lets give both High Point Academy (24-0, now 24-1) and Franklin (25-1) some props , they are both dang good ball clubs! I'm pretty sure that's why Jenkins scheduled who he did, could've went the easy route and scheduled easier opponents like some others did! Yuga will either lace up the sneakers and get after it, or unlace them and go home!! Still say they have the toughest road to regional tourny and Austin!!! Go Wildcats!!

Franklin did look good against Cayuga. Was there and close game till Franklin put it away in fourth Quarter. Cayuga is a very good team and will do well in the playoffs. Good luck to them and the Franklin Lions.
