I didnt post a games to watch for this week, but if I did, this game tuesday would be high on the list.  Central Heights has improved over last couple weeks and had a big win saturday over Chapel Hill.  Crockett had a good showing last weekend in Lufkin.  I expect this to be a close game to open district play.  How do you see this one playing out?

Haven't seen Crockett but I have seen Central Heights.  About 80% of the time they did a great job of handling the pressure of San Augustine.  That 20% was the difference in the ball game.  Central Heights did a great job of being patient but ultimately made some errors when they tried to do too much against the pressure, and they let the pressure get to them at times.  I would expect the same thing from Crockett.

What a way to start district play!
Crockett seems to becoming more and more comfortable under their new coach. Crockett will press hard and often. Central Heights has had to acclimate a lot of new faces to the varsity level, while Crockett returns the majority of their team.
Playing in Central Heights will be big for the Blue Devils, and they are one of the most disciplined teams that play sound, fundamental basketball every year.
Crockett cannot afford to be sloppy, and will have to defend the perimeter.
I'll take Crockett on the road by five...

CH at home. Crockett didn't press last Tuesday vs Trinity but maybe they will vs a less athletic CH team. Who knows ? I believe CH will be too fundamentally sound for Crockett. If they defend and don't turn the ball over they'll be fine. CH 57 CKT 51

That's the thing that worries me about Crockett. CH at home is tough, and they rarely ever beat themselves. Any team that beats Central Heights earns it.
I hate to put soo much stock in a district opener, but this has big playoff implications. Whoever wins gets a leg up on the other for the second half of district play...
