Big Sandy has gone a little under the radar this year on the board even though they're ranked top 10 in TABC. #4 hit 7 threes for Big Sandy tonight! Great game to watch. I think either of these teams can beat anyone in the region. What do y'all think?

#4 definitely can shoot the basketball!!

Really thought San Augustine was gonna pull that one out. They just went through some stretches of boneheaded play. I said it going in and I will repeat it. Big Sandy is a dang good ball club. San Augustine has 5 losses now and against UIL schools the biggest margin of defeat is 6 (to Central Heights). I think they will be just fine going forward, but they are going to have to find a way to cut out or limit the bad plays.

I think they have a legitimate chance to be in Tyler the way the bracket is set up on top of the fact that they are a good ball club.

I think I mentioned in an earlier post about the Dec 30 rankings that SA would have problems with disciplined teams that can handle their pressure. I think Big Sandy fits that profile. Good win for BS

Big win for Big Sandy. A team that is forgotten about often, but a win like this one will grab the attention of the rest of the Region. Going to San Augustine and stealing a win is an impressive feat. Looking forward to the playoff run...
