Game was at Douglass.  I havent heard much from the game yet but I know Douglass was up 9 at half.  Douglass shot it well from the 3 point line.  This was Cayuga's first game of the year.  Anyone go to the game and have a report?

Douglass came out prepared and ready to play. #4 was a stud and he just couldn't miss. They were disciplined and took care of the ball.

Cayuga looked very rusty. They missed easy shots under the basket, and didn't rebound on either end of the court. They looked like a team that was playing in their first game. Passes weren't on time, couldn't hold onto the ball, passes missed off of fingertips, etc...

Cayuga took the lead by 1 with about 2:30 left, but a run by Douglass put them back up by 9 at one point. Again, it was the rust showing badly for Cayuga with sloppy passing and turnovers.

Hunter and Preston shot the ball well, with both hitting several three pointers throughout the game. If Cayuga would have rebounded the ball, IMO they would have won.

Douglass won every phase of the game.  Not just the scoreboard.  No excuses the way we played.  First game or 12 game who cares.  They got all the loose balls and won the effort phase of the game.  Give up 40 pts in the first half is unacceptable.  We will see if we are coachable and more prepared over the next few weeks.  Congrats to Douglass on the win.  Very well coached and talented team that trust each other.
